Terri Graham was devastated when she found out her children couldn’t breastfeed, and now she’s filling that void by nursing her pug, the Huffington Post reports.

The mother of two couldn’t breastfeed her children, so now she’s filling the maternal void in an unorthodox way.
The U.K. edition of Closer magazine explained that the woman allows for her 9-year-old pug named Spider to breastfeed.
The 44-year-old California woman told the magazine that some people consider her a “freak” for the way she chooses to nourish her dog, but she maintains that it makes her feel like she is being a better mother.
"Having Spider suckle on my boob means I finally feel complete and a better mother," Graham told Closer.
She explained that the pug developed a liking for her breast milk in 2010 when the dog licked the bottle she had pumped for her then-newborn son.
As a result, she has been breastfeeding the dog for two years.
The story began to get notoriety after the Closer article was uploaded onto Reddit and received more than 2,000 “upvotes” and eventually rose to the front of the site’s page.
Many of the comments were jokes about the article, but one woman mentioned that a British woman had also allegedly breastfed her dog in 2010, the Huffington Post noted.
A psychologist who was interviewed for Closer’s piece about Graham suggested that the woman needed to seek therapy, but even weirder incidents concerning dogs have occurred on the famously pet-loving British Isles, the site said.
An Irish man was charged with violating his country’s bestiality laws in July of 2011 after a woman reportedly died of an allergic reaction following sex with his German shepherd, Reddit shared.
On TLC’s new hit “Breaking Amish,” the reality stars talked about some of the Amish having sex with animals, essentially claiming that bestiality is a part of Amish life.
