Woman Cuts Off Husband’s Penis, Could Get Locked Up For Life
A woman from Southern California who has been accused of cutting off her husband's penis could face a life time in jail .
Kieu Becker, 48 has been charged with two felony counts by the Orange County District Attorney's Office, ABC news reports. Torture and aggravated mayhem are her two main convictions with sentence enhancement for causing great bodily injury, said Susan Schroeder, the DA's chief of staff.
Becker allegedly cooked her husband drugged food. When her husband, 60, passed out, she tied him to the bed.
When he woke up, she took off his pants, cut off his penis, put it in the garbage disposal, and turned on the disposal.
She then called the police, who arrived at the scene to find the husband tied to a bed and bleeding profusely from his crotch area. .
After cutting off his penis, Becker eventually called 911 to ask for medical assistance. Becker told officials that her husband deserved it.
The man was quickly transferred to a hospital where he received emergency surgery. He is now in stable condition.
A severed penis is a terrible loss and it's the hardest thing, in our specialty, to deal with surgically, said Dr. Joel Gelman, reported News 24 He didn't comment on the victim specifically but said in cases of penis loss, a penis-like structure with limited utility can be constructed using flesh and skin from the forearm.
The couple was married on December 29, 2009. In May, the husband filed for divorce from Catherine Becker, citing irreconcilable differences, reported KTLA.
The victim's ex-wife, Dr. Manal Soliman who was married to him for eight years before the couple divorced was in disbelief after hearing the news according to ABC news.
He's a really nice person and I know he truly cared for her a lot, said Soliman, reported ABC news. I heard they got to know each other at church. I don't know how a churchgoing woman could do something like that.
It's unclear what exactly motivated Becker to allegedly perform this vicious attack.
