Woman Fatally Stabbed in Front of Sheepshead Bay Apartment
Larisa Komsky, a 50-year-old accountant who ran her own business near her longtime residence, was brutally murdered in front of her home as she parked her Mercedes convertible at her Sheepshead Bay apartment at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Komsky's horrific shrieks woke several neighbors, but, by then, it was too late. Komsky stumbled out of her car, leaving a 12-foot trail of blood along the concrete sidewalk according to the New York Post. The victim was stabbed twice in the leg and once in the hand and was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital, according to CBS News report.
A neighbor told the Post that he captured the killer on his video surveillance system. According to the neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, a camera captured a dark-colored SUV letting a passenger out who then hid behind another vehicle before attacking Komsky. Detectives originally thought that the crime was commited by someone that Komsky had known, but that possibility has been ruled out by the footage, according to CBS News.
Police sources said, according to the Post, that the woman was seen arguing with a man who was following her home shortly before the incident. So far, no arrests have been made.
