Tens of Thousands of animal abuse cases surface nowadays in the wake of viral videos and social media. These furry buddies love us more than they love themselves and only people with a twisted mind can think of harming them.

In a recent instance of animal cruelty, a woman was seen kicking and choking her dog near her trailer in Pinellas County, Florida. After the video of the woman manhandling her own pet went viral, she was arrested immediately. She has been jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail as she awaits her first arraignment.

The woman, identified as Michelle A. Sieber, 26, is facing one count of felony animal cruelty charge based on a video posted by a man called Vincent Minutello on Facebook. The video, which was posted on Friday has garnered close to 3,000 comments so far.

The video shows Sieber walking stealthily towards her trailer in a parking lot accompanied by the dog on a leash. The watcher gets a spine-chilling jolt after the video shows how swiftly Sieber kicks the animal in its rib cage. She then holds the leash closer to its neck and pulls it up so hard that it forces the dog’s front legs to come off the ground and leaves it gasping for air.

As she starts walking again, the dog attempts to recover but Sieber tightens her grip on the leash, this time choking it to the point of blocking its oxygen supply. The video clearly shows the dog gagging as the woman subjugates it.

Minutello was in his car from where he was filming the entire incident. Minutello then drove up to Sieber and asked her to stop treating her dog in such an inhumane way.

Addressing the woman Minutello said, “Hey, can you go a little easy on that dog, please,” he also said, “You can’t do what you’re doing.”

Sieber, unmoved, laughs and responds, “Pull on his collar?”

Minutello, in response to her question, said, “You are choking him. You are hanging your dog. He is sitting there by his neck and he can’t breathe if you watch him.”

Sieber was recorded as saying in the video, “You can have him if you want him.”

ABC’s Tampa Bay Affiliate Station asserted in a report that Sieber told police she was training the dog. Sieber was allegedly living in her trailer with two dogs for a short term.
