In a bizarre incident at a Walmart in Wisconsin, a woman let her dog loose and practiced karate while her son stripped naked.

In a statement Thursday, police said they responded to the store in Eau Claire after receiving a report of theft in progress. Officers arrived at the scene and found Lisa Smith, 46, screaming at the store’s entrance, trying to catch her dog.

On trying to figure out what happened, the officers learnt Smith entered the store with her dog and let it loose. She then started “erratically pulling apart store displays and placing them in her cart.” When Walmart staff asked her to leave the store, Smith started performing karate moves in the parking lot. Meanwhile, the dog managed to get a box of Jiffy Cornbread Muffin Mix and attempted to leave the store.

After Smith was taken into custody, she fought with officers and also “attempted to kick out a window on the squad car.”

Meanwhile, Smith’s 25-year-old son Benny Vann made his way to the back of the store where he stripped and “exposed himself to other customers.” He then grabbed few clothes from the shelf but left the store without paying for it. When the officers approached Vann, “he refused to stop and attempted to run over an officer with his scooter.” Officers then physically stopped the scooter and took him into custody as well.

Police said while Smith was arrested for "disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and misdemeanor bail jumping," her son was arrested for "lewd and lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct and retail theft." The dog, on the other hand, was caught in the store by the officers and taken to the Humane Association.

“The dog was not charged – we issued him a warning for the theft,” the police said.
