Woman Walks On Aircraft Wing After Feeling 'Too Hot' Inside Plane, Video Goes Viral
In a bizarre incident, a woman opened the emergency exit of an aircraft in Kiev, Ukraine, to take a walk on its wing after she started feeling "too hot" inside the plane. The video, which was recently shared on social media, went viral.
The clip shows the woman casually sitting on the wing of the plane before going back inside the aircraft. According to media reports, the incident took place on a Ukraine International Airlines aircraft that landed in Kiev from Turkey.
The woman opened the emergency exit of the Boeing 737-86N aircraft and stepped out. When asked by the officials to return to the plane, she complained of feeling “too hot” inside the aircraft and climbed on to the wing to “get some air.”
The Ukraine International Airlines confirmed the incident to the Sun.
"A passenger of flight PS6212 Antalya-Kyiv illegally opened the emergency exit of the plane after it stopped near gate 11 of terminal D and went on to its wing," the airline said.
A spokesperson for the airlines added: "The chief pilot immediately summoned the aviation security, border service, police and medical center of Boryspil Airport. The passenger was blacklisted for gross violation of aviation safety rules and behavior onboard."
One of the passengers on board the plane said: “The aircraft landed, and almost all the passengers got off. She walked almost all the way from the tail to the emergency exit row, opened the door, and went out. By that time, her two children were outside the plane and standing right next to me. They were surprised, saying, ‘that’s our mum.”
Social media users raised concerns about the woman's actions.
"In the absence of drugs/alcohol in her blood and if no previous concerns about her mental health and unusual behaviors, she should have a brain scan/neurological assessment. This seems like unusually extreme impulsive behavior without consideration of consequence. I would be wanting to have her frontal lobes looked at for any damage/tumor if it were me or a family member," one user wrote.
Another wrote: "It's written there not to walk over the wing area and she did exactly that."
