Woman Witnesses Huge Python Devouring Cat Near Her Home [Photos]
A woman in Singapore has seen a huge snake swallowing a cat near her home, leaving her in shock.
Siau Li Chao witnessed the python devouring the grey cat near her home in Clementi over the weekend. She took photos of the incident and posted them on Facebook Tuesday to appeal to cat owners and feeders to keep the felines in safer areas.
In one of the photos she shared, the snake could be seen coiled around the cat and in the midst of swallowing it.
In the caption, she noted that the cat was no more, adding that she wasn't sure if the feline was a stray one or if it was somebody's pet. However, she said it's possible the cat was a pet who had been allowed to roam in the area.
"If u know whose cat it is, please tell the owner that it is gone," she wrote.

The snake was sighted at Block 343 on Clementi Avenue 5 Saturday, the post also indicated.
In an update, the woman said the python was last spotted near Blocks 412 and 418 Monday. She then urged pet owners to be careful as the snake was still on the loose.
She also advised residents to call the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (Acres) at 9783 7782 if they ever came across the snake.
Meanwhile, several people took to the comments section to share their thoughts about the incident.
"My instinct- its like someone purposely let loose these pythons to kill those comm/roaming cats as they cannot handle & feed those pythons anymore," one person wrote.
"Omg...so sad to see this poor cat attacked by the python!" another noted.
"Why interfere in nature's circle of life....typical over reacting," another person commented.
Reticulated pythons are very common in Singapore. The snakes are generally found in residential areas and industrial warehouses as they are drawn to the abundance of rodent prey. They hold the record for being the world's longest snake and grow more than 10 meters in length.
They also feed on small to medium mammals such as deer and wild pigs. The snakes coil around the prey and suffocate them before ingesting.
