Get ready to “nut up or shut up,” in the first trailer for “Zombieland: Double Tap.”

The sequel to the 2009 zombie comedy, “Zombieland,” the sequel follows Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock as their makeshift family continues its journey through the zombie infested world they live in. The sequel will bring the heroes to America’s Heartland, taking up residence in the White House. They will also have to navigate their way around evolving zombies and a colorful cast of survivors also dotting the zombie apocalypse.

“Zombieland: Double Tap” will see Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin all return to the roles they played in the first back in 2009. This time around, they will be joined by Zoey Deutch’s Madison, who may throw a slight wrench Columbus’ relationship with Wichita. Little Rock will also find herself separated from the group and on the road with newcomer Avan Jogia’s Berkeley.

Other newcomers include Rosario Dawson, Thomas Middleditch, and Luke Wilson as other survivors getting around the zombie apocalypse, though it isn’t clear if they strictly follow Columbus’ rules for survival.

“Zombieland: Double Tap” is directed by Reuben Fleisher, returning to direct from the first film and is scheduled for release on Oct. 18, 2019.
