The greatest assassin vows to live for himself after getting betrayed by the Syndicate. He regrets working for the organization. After his death, he is summoned by the Goddess who mocks him for assassinating himself.

In the promo trailer of "The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat," the assassin asks the Goddess who does she want him to kill. She orders him to kill the hero.

The Goddess then reincarnates him as Lugh in the kingdom of Ahlban. In the other world, Lugh is part of Tuatha Dé, which is a noble house in Ahlban. The Tuatha Dé house is led by a group of assassins and Lugh will serve them and assassinate the hero.

Silver Link and Studio Palette are producing the anime series based on original creator Rui Tsukiyo’s light novel of the same name. The original character design is by Reia.

"The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat" anime is directed by Masafumi Tamura. The series composition and script are handled by Katsuhiko Takayama. The music is composed by Kenichi Kuroda. Kaori Yoshikawa is credited as the chief animation director while Yūya Yoshiyama is the art director.

The cast of "The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat" anime includes Kenji Akabane as Lugh, Yūki Takada as Tart, Shino Shimoji as Maha, Reina Ueda as Dia, Yukari Tamura as The Goddess, Chiaki Takahashi as Ethilu, Junpei Morita as The Assassin and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Cian.
