Another macabre saga of serial killings is unfolding as remains of more dead bodies are discovered from Long Island’s infamous Jones Beach last week. Fresh fears of another hideous killer on the prowl have kept people nervous even as police are tracing the footprints of the killer.

Horrible killings by scores of maniacal serial killers have terrified Americans periodically, and riveted their attention as well. Serial killers of all hues have prowled the land -- those who took to killings to avenge the psychological trauma from school bullying or a broken family, the ones who just killed people to approximate god's powers over life, those who just killed out of ‘objectionless villainy’, highly intelligent killers who teased the investigators with their complex crime footprint, and others who led normal-looking public lives to cover up their repulsive real persona.
