Wow Air Is Coming Back: Airline Says It Will Start Selling Tickets Soon
In March 2019, Wow Air abruptly stopped all operations and grounded its fleet, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at the Keflavik Airport in Iceland as well as other cities throughout Europe and North America. However, this doesn’t seem to have deterred the airline from making a comeback.
On Monday, Wow Air posted a cryptic Facebook post that left many wondering if the airline is returning to service. According to the post, Wow World 2020 is coming.
While there is no indication of what exactly Wow World 2020 is, the post also said, “WOW air has a history of making guests happy onboard and providing solid value while flying WOW air to far away destinations that excite and inspire.
“Our commitment to WOW air guest is simply this: Honest fares. Clean cuisine. Being appreciated on our airlines as on no other. Making flying fun again. We are WOW.”

While the Facebook post did not outright say the airline was coming back, Wow Air did confirm the news in the comment section of the post. When asked if the airline was really coming back, Wow responded by saying, “Yes we are, we start selling tickets soon,” multiple times, leaving plenty of indication that the airline has plans in place to make a comeback in the near-term.
