'Wrath of the Titans': Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson Rock World Premiere in NYC [PHOTOS]
Wrath of the Titans stars Sam Worthington and Liam Neeson suited up for the film's world premiere, held in New York City Monday night.
Worthington, 35, was joined by his girlfriend Crystal Humphries, who donned a simple blue dress, complete with pink and purple colored tips in her blonde mane.
In the film, Neeson, 59, and Worthington reprise their father-son roles as Zeus and Perseus, respectively.
Wrath of the Titans is the follow-up to the 2010 blockbuster, Clash of the Titans, which grossed more than $493 million at the box office worldwide. The new film is set ten years after the first one, opening with Perseus trying to enjoy a quiet village life with his young son. When Zeus is captured by Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and Ares (Edgar Ramirez), Perseus has no choice but to answer to his true calling.
So how does the sequel compare to Clash?
I like my performance better. Because I don't think I had a character in the first [film] . . . and I think I created one this time. I like the fact that we dealt more with issues like family, that we kind of utilize with Liam and Ralph . . . I like the fact the special effects in this one are amazing, Worthington recently told The Huffington Post.
Wrath of the Titans, directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), opens in theaters Mar. 30.
