WrestleMania 38 Card: Which Matches Are Set For Night 1?
WWE is planning to make WrestleMania 38 the biggest event in company history with two shows over back-to-back nights at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. With tickets being sold for Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3, fans will want to know what matches will take place on Night 1 and Night 2.
The full WrestleMania 38 card isn’t complete, though it’s shaping up with a month remaining until the event. Only the world championship unification match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns has been officially scheduled for April 3. Four matches have been pegged to take place on April 2.
Which matches on the WrestleMania 38 card have been set for Night 1?
The two women’s singles title matches are the early headliners for April 2. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will face Ronda Rousey on Night 1. WrestleMania 38 on Saturday will also see Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch take on Bianca Belair.
Rousey stepped away from WWE after WrestleMania 35. The former UFC star relinquished her championship to Lynch. Rousey, Flair and Lynch fought in the first-ever women’s main event in WrestleMania history.
Rousey returned at the 2022 Royal Rumble, where she earned her WrestleMania 38 title opportunity.
Lynch and Belair are having a rematch of their SummerSlam title fight. A returning Lynch defeated Belair in just 26 seconds. Belair won the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 37 on Night 1.
Social media personality Logan Paul will have his first-ever WWE match on the first night of WrestleMania 38. Paul will team up with The Miz against Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio.
Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin is also on Saturday’s WrestleMania 38 card.
It’s possible that the biggest Night 1 match has yet to be made. There have been rumors that Kevin Owens could face Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38.
Austin, arguably the most popular WWE wrestler of all time, hasn’t had a match in 18 years.
