Wrestler Randy Macho Man Savage dies in car crash
TMZ is reporting that 'Macho Man' Randy Savage has died in a car accident in Tampa, Florida.
Savage, one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, suffered a heart attack while driving this morning, and lost control of his vehicle, according to Savage's brother, Lanny Poffo. Savage was 58 years old.
Known as 'Macho Man,' Savage began wresting in the WWF in 1985 and was known for his catchphrase 'Ooooh Yeaaahhh.
According to a report by TMZ, Florida Highway Patrol said Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler and collided head-on with a tree.
Savage was then transported to Largo Medical center where he died from his injuries.
According to the report, Savage's wife, Lynn, was in the passenger seat of the vehicle when it crashed. She survived with minor injuries. She was taken to a different hospital than her husband where her injuries were treated.
TMZ reports that officials said both were wearing their seatbelts and that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
