WWDC 2017 Keynote Time: iOS 11, Siri Speaker, New MacBook, Other Products Apple Could Unveil
Apple is expected to reveal new products and give the public a glimpse of the iOS 11 update during the Worldwide Developers Conference.
WWDC will take place from June 5-9 in San Jose, Calif., with the keynote address at 1 P.M. EST Monday. You can watch the event live stream using this link on your MacBook, iPad, iPhone or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. You can also watch the keynote address on the Apple TV (second and third generation).
Here’s what could be announced at WWDC:
iOS 11
Apple could give a preview of some features that will be on iOS 11, the upcoming update for iPads and iPhones which is expected to be released this fall alongside the iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.
Previous reports said iOS 11 could feature Theater Mode, which will limit access to an iPhone and will dim the screen display to avoid annoying others at the movies. The update could also come with a group calling feature for FaceTime.
iOS 11 is rumored to come with a revamped Music App that will push Apple’s original video content. The Cupertino company is expected to release as many as 10 original shows and documentaries later this year, including will.i.am’s Planet of the Apps and Carpool Karaoke. Apple could release trailers for upcoming original content at WWDC.
iOS 11 could also come with a revamped version of Siri. Apple is reportedly boosting Siri with contextual learning abilities and deep integration with iMessage and iCloud. A report in March said Siri will be more helpful for users in iMessage by giving restaurant recommendations and allowing iOS device owners to make reservations or book an Uber within the app.
Siri Speaker
Apple is expected to reveal its rumored Siri speaker, which will compete with Amazon Echo devices and Google Home. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said earlier this month there is an "over 50 percent chance” the speaker will be revealed at WWDC. Apple has reportedly already started manufacturing the Siri speaker overseas. The report added the device will be revealed at WWDC but won’t be ready to ship until later this year.

The Siri speaker is expected to come with better sound, will allow users to control home appliances and will have an Airplay feature.
iPad Pro 2
Multiple reports have claimed Apple will reveal the iPad Pro 2 at WWDC. Kuo said in May suppliers were getting ready for mass producing the tablet early this month. The 10.5-inch tablet could come with an edge-to-edge display and an Apple Pencil 2.
New MacBook Lineup
Apple will reportedly reveal a new MacBook lineup at WWDC. The company is rumored to announce new versions of the 12-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro at the event. The company is also said to be considering updating the MacBook Air. The new MacBook Pro is rumored to come with a faster Kaby Lake processor.
Apple TV and tvOS 11
Apple will reportedly introduce new features for the Apple TV’s tvOS 11 update at WWDC. The update will include a multi-user feature, in which different people can create their own profiles for one Apple TV, similar to Netflix. tvOS 11 could also come with a picture-in-picture feature, which will allow users to minimize the window of a movie or video to the corner of the screen and surf through another app. The company is also expected to announce the Amazon video app will come to the Apple TV
Apple could also reveal macOS 10.13, watchOS 4, and developments in Apple Pay.
