  • "Glow and Behold" is the tagline of WWDC 2021
  • The event will feature the launch of operating systems on Apple devices
  • Developers could expect hardware announcements as well

Apple has finally announced the official dates for this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) along with its promise to offer a unique insight into the future of its software platform as iOS 15, macOS 12 and watchOS 8 are set to launch at the said event.

On its developer website, Apple shared a glimpse of its upcoming WWDC for 2021. The event, which has the tagline "Glow and Behold," will run from June 7-11. It will be an all-online program without the $1,599 attendance fee participating developers are usually charged.

In the post, the Cupertino-based giant invites the viewers to join the community of worldwide developers to have their first look at Apple's next lineup of platforms, tools and technologies.

The public can expect a wide array of innovative features from the upcoming iOS 15, iPadOS15, macOS 12, watchOS8 and tvOS 15. Developers should also look forward to the beta versions of these new operating systems, according to 9to5Mac.

This is Apple's second time conducting the WWDC through an all-online audience. As reported by MacRumors, Apple held the WWDC at McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, for the past years. Due to the pandemic, the tech giant had to ensure that the developers' conference will have no in-person attendance in 2020.

During the WWDC 2020, Apple held a total of 4,500 person-to-person labs and put together 72 hours of video content for developers. The company's effort to debut its first all-virtual event hailed public praises for making it inclusive for everyone.

As Apple continues its effort to transition from its current CPUs to its very own Apple Silicon processors, speculations about an upcoming release of iMacs and Mac Book Pro lineup surfaced. Rumors also suggest that the WWDC 2021 could feature new hardware announcements as well.

Reports suggest that during the WWDC 2021, Apple could release a teaser of its rumored mixed-reality headset that is expected to roll out in 2022.

The company said it will give out more information about the event through the Apple Developer app, email and developer website.
