WWE Legend Reveals Untold Stories About The Rock And John Cena
A WWE Hall of Famer has revealed some things most people don’t know about him, “The Rock” and John Cena.
WWE superstar-turned-Hollywood celebrity “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has been openinh up about some of the biggest names in WWE lately. Just a few days ago, Austin talked about Seth Rollins and how he could induce more ticket sales for the WWE. But prior to addressing Rollins, Austin revealed some interesting things about WWE superstars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Cena.
In an appearance on PeopleTV, Austin described how Johnson started in the pro wrestling business. According to Austin, WWE, but WWF back then, did not instantly have the right persona and gimmick for Johnson. However, he already knew that Johnson will become one of the greatest WWE stars in the future.
Austin also added that it did not take long for people to love the “electric charisma” of Johnson’s “The Rock” persona and to this day, he still believes that Johnson is “destined for great things” in the industry.
In another recent interview with Cinema Blend, Austin revealed even more interesting things between him and Johnson.
The WWE icon first admitted that he terribly wants Johnson to be part of his new show titled Straight Up Steve Austin. However, he is also open for the possibility that Johnson wouldn’t have the time for his show given his jam-packed schedule as a Hollywood star.
Austin also mentioned that Johnson and he, were the only WWE stars to ever headline three WrestleManias.
“Well I gotta pick The Rock. He's a very good friend of mine. We headlined three WrestleManias together. No one ever has done that. He's the biggest movie star in the world. He probably doesn't have time for the show ,” Austin said.
Austin even added that Johnson and him brought out the best in each other and that the two of them have the “chemistry” that could generate a huge amount of money.
"But me and that guy (Johnson), he brought out the best of me. I brought out the best [in him] and, you know, there was that instant chemistry that drew tons of money,” Austin revealed.
The 54-year-old WWE legend did not have anything negative to say about Cena. According to Austin, Cena’s work ethic and professionalism are what makes people love him. However, he also revealed that he never got the chance to work with “The Doctor of Thuganomics” even to this day.
“John Cena, the thing is, I never got the chance to work with him,” Austin revealed.
