Save those two words that you have in mind when you hear this news.
The Madison Square Garden posted on their social media that there will be a reunion of the legendary wrestling D-Generation X as a part of WWE’s Road To Wrestlemania happening in March. This will be the first time that the quartet will appear as a group in over a decade.
On the post, DX reunion will be composed of “X-Pac” Sean Waltman, “Road Dogg” Jesse James, “Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, and WWE Executive Vice President Triple H. The group was founded during the Attitude Era and was run by Michaels, Triple H, Chyna and Rick Rude.
Per WrestlingNews.Co, part of the promotion are the matches between the group of Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and returning The Big Show going up against Seth Rollins and AOP’s Akam and Rezar, and the Raw Women’s Championship match between Asuka and current champion Becky Lynch.
The event also includes an appearance of Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair, AJ Styles, Andrade, Rey Mysterio, Rusev, Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, and The Street Profits.
Last year, D-Generation X was inducted to the WWE Hall Of Fame with all of them taking the stage. The quartet also took time to honor the “Ninth Wonder Of The World”, even naming her as “probably the most impactful women to ever set foot in this ring”, as well as labeling her as the biggest and best trailblazer in history. Per WWE article, Triple H told Chyna’s sister, who was in the audience, that the first woman to ever compete in the Royal Rumble will like the idea of renaming Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal into “Chyna Memorial Battle Royal”.
The idea, though, does not satisfy some WWE fans who took their time posting on social media what they feel about it.
Bro this is the best thing???

How many times do we gotta keep seeing DX reunions? Damn, WWE is so desperate.

Isn’t this alarming that you now have to use nostalgia acts every time to sell tickets to MSG?

Another DX reunion? This is just pathetic now...

Boring!💤 How about moving FORWARDS instead of backwards? WWE has one its best rosters ever yet can't use them properly and thinks relying on relics will help regain interest. Sorry but nope...🙄🤔

All these new stars they refuse to build or make relevant. Stop this @WWE . First big show, then Kane, now DX. You’ve got all these potential stars we want to see.

How about pushing and showcasing new talent and BUILDING new stars. I’m over DX and these pointless reunions ✌🏻

This is why I REFUSE to watch or support the @WWE product. HHH produces GREAT tv week after week & the main roster does nothing but promote NOSTALGIA. MAKE NEW STARS! Dipping into the Attitude era well AGAIN to sell tickets. PATHETIC! This is why there are LAPSED fans. #Lapsed
