WWE Rumors: Bray Wyatt May Pinch-Hit For Injured Braun Strowman
WWE TLC is almost here, and one of the matches to look forward to is the battle of the behemoths involving Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin. There are big stakes on the line and possibly some twists happening along the way.
According to CBS Sports, Strowman got the match he had wanted from Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon to face Corbin. There are two stipulations for the match, which will take place on Dec. 16 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. If Strowman wins, he gets to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at the Royal Rumble, and Corbin will lose his powers as interim general manager of Raw. In the event that Corbin wins, he becomes the full-time general manager of Raw.
The only downside is that Strowman may not be at 100 percent. He underwent elbow surgery last month. He did make some appearances recently, even showing off his injured elbow. He and the WWE could be concealing the real state of that injury unless altered storylines are in the making.
Another scenario could see someone else come out in place of the "Monster Among Men." Bray Wyatt, who has been on- and off-screen, could come out to face Corbin instead. If that is the case, it has yet to be known if this would negate the stipulations previously agreed upon.
Then again, Strowman could still show up with Wyatt doing much of the damage. He could be at ringside and do the usual distraction and getting in some cheap shots to soften up the Lone Wolf, Dave Meltzer reported.
A Bray Wyatt return would be neat to see, reuniting the two figures who once formed the devious and powerful Wyatt Family. Bray could end up managing Strowman once more, something that makes sense for singles championship runs in the WWE.
Assuming that Browman is able to get over Corbin, building up the hype between him and Lesnar should be interesting as well. Both are no strangers to each other, a catastrophic clash that WWE fans will surely love to watch.
