WWE Rumors: Elias First, Then Kofi Kingston Next For Roman Reigns
With the WWE superstar shakeup happening, Roman Reigns found himself moving to SmackDown. And from the looks of it, he will be building a feud with Elias - something that started on RAW.
The continuation of the celebrated WWE feud was obvious when both superstars were introduced on the blue brand. And while Reigns did connect on his familiar Superman Punch on WWE CEO Vince McMahon, it was more of a statement or a monkey wrench is thrown in the mix. At any rate, it won't be surprising if McMahon does something to get back at the Big Dog.
Of course, Elias would not go home empty-handed. The Drifter also received a spear from Reigns, the exclamation point of announcing that he has arrived on SmackDown and that he plans to make it his yard.
Everyone knows that even Reigns is recovering from his second bout with Leukemia. And while most question his state of health, it seems obvious that he is ready to mix it up and take a beating. With his star power, there is no question that the WWE would best book him for a title shot. And the logical target right now would be reigning heavyweight champion Kofi Kingston.
Ironically, Kingston did tease a potential feud with Reigns. And while that hardly seems farfetched, it may not be immediately in the cards, Ringside News reported. It is likely that Reigns may at some point become heel but only once he is 100-percent back to his old self. So while that is happening, rebuilding himself and psyching the fans with a feud with Elias will have to do for now.
As for Kingston, there is still no clear picture on who he would be feuding with next. Daniel Bryan would have made sense but another report from Ringside News reveals that the former WWE champion is dealing with a closely guarded injury.
Hence, Kingston is likely to engage in a storyline that would involve Xavier Woods and honorary group member Kevin Owens. With Big E out with an injury, KO could be a stand-in guy for now. But knowing his history, how long will this alliance last? Is Owens playing coy and eventually brewing something that could lead to a WWE title shot? The idea alone is intriguing.
A Roman Reigns vs. Xavier Woods could happen if the latter remains champion for long. Time will only tell. But for now, the WWE storylines are set for all protagonists mentioned.
