WWE Rumors: Former Bullet Club Members Shun New Contract
The WWE knew that getting a couple of well-known wrestlers in Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson would be a big boost to the promotion. Unfortunately, with all the talent that they have, the former Bullet Club members feel that they best take their talent elsewhere.
According to PWInsider, Anderson and Gallows have rejected new contracts offered by the WWE and are on their way out. As of this writing, there is no word on where they are headed although the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) or even the New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) could be their next stop.
This transpired despite word that both had multiple meetings with the WWE. Both Anderson and Gallows were reportedly offered a multi-million contract, but it seems that it was not enough to keep the tag team in the fold.
For those following WWE shows, both Anderson and Gallows have been conspicuously absent or have not been seen. The contract for both WWE stars will run out in September and it remains to be seen if they will be cast in any future shows or pay-per-views moving forward.
When both Anderson and Gallows entered the WWE scene in 2016, it was initially speculated that they would form an alliance with other former Bullet Club members. Among those in that circle include Finn Balor (then known as Prince Devitt), AJ Styles, Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson).
Aside from Anderson and Gallows, Balor, Styles and the Young Bucks made their way to the WWE thereafter. Of the mix, only Balor and Styles have so far garnered success.
The duo has been involved in high profile WWE storylines, playing both face and heel personas. The last time Anderson and Gallows appeared was during the Royal Rumble back in January. They would go on to lose that match against the Revival.
Gallows is only 35, while Anderson is 39 years old. Both have the talent to compete and make a run if a wrestling promotion would give them an opportunity. That chance will, however, not be in the WWE unless either or both have a sudden change of heart before their deal runs out in September, Ringside News reported.
