WWE Rumors: Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker Returning For Matches Before Summer 2019
It looks like some of the biggest names in WWE history will be back in the ring soon enough. The company has officially announced it's next Saudi Arabia show, and it will be headlined by the likes of Goldberg, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker.
The upcoming event will take place at Jeddah's King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on Friday, June 7. Roman Reigns, Kofi Kingston, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles have also been named among the WWE superstars that are set to appear on the show.
Goldberg hasn’t wrestled since losing the WWE Universal Championship to Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. It's possible that the WWE Hall of Famer won't actually have a match, but his latest Instagram post indicates that he might lace up his boots one more time.
When Lesnar dropped the Universal Championship to Rollins at WrestleMania 35 a few weeks ago, it looked like the former UFC heavyweight champion might take a break from wrestling as he pursued another MMA fight. That quickly changed Tuesday when UFC president Dana White told ESPN that Lesnar was retired from the sport, sparking speculation that he might have signed a new deal with WWE.
The Undertaker appeared on WWE TV on “Monday Night Raw” one night after WrestleMania 35, though he didn't have a match at the pay-per-view for the first time in nearly two decades. The Phenom’s last match actually came in Saudi Arabia when he teamed up with Kane against D-Generation X in Shawn Michaels’ return match at the Crown Jewel event on Nov. 2 of last year.
Perhaps The Undertaker will have a match with Elias, whom he interrupted on that episode of “Monday Night Raw.” A rematch between Lesnar and Rollins could make sense, though that might change if Styles wins the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank on May 19.
It's also possible that Goldberg and Lesnar could be facing each other. They wrestled twice during Goldberg’s brief run from late 2016 to early 2017.
