WWE Rumors: Goldberg vs. Undertaker Dream Match Could Be In The Works
The WWE will be holding another event set to be held in Saudi Arabia on June 7, and there were plenty of big names mentioned for the match, such as the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar. But perhaps the biggest surprise of them all is the inclusion of Bill Goldberg.
According to WWE.com, the event will be held at the Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Other names mentioned as appearing include Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles. From the names divulged, there are plenty of dream matches to hope for. But the real question is who will actually wrestle and who will not.
In the case of Goldberg, the 52-year-old former wrestling champion has not wrestled competitively the last two years. He was last seen during Wrestlemania 33 where he lost the Universal title to Brock Lesnar. Pundits believe that Goldberg will be facing Lesnar once again in Saudi Arabia next month.
Ironically, WWE fans last saw Lesnar at Wrestlemania 35. He lost the title to Seth Rollins and has since been indisposed. From the list of potential matches, the WWE could tweak the script a bit and try out other clashes. If one is to factor in the shape of Goldberg, a match with the Undertaker could make plenty of sense.
Goldberg and the Undertaker have never really faced off one-on-one. The closest one was back in 2016 during a three-way face-off along with Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, Give Me Sport reported. If it is indeed in the cards, it could be a dream match fulfilled not only for the two stars but also to the WWE fans. But will it be worth the watch?
Do take note that while the name of Goldberg has been mentioned, there was no mention of him actually wrestling. Hence, there is that possibility that he may be simply making an appearance. It could be in a certain segment where he would just be around to hype up the crowd on hand.
Either way, the WWE event to be held in Saudi Arabia is something to watch. It is part of the promotion’s ten-year deal with Saudi General Sports Authority. The upcoming show will be the third one held in the Kingdom.
