  • Jey Uso's character change could be for something bigger such as the WWE Universal title
  • Uso is likely to play a bigger role in the Survivor Series
  • The Jey Uso push raises questions regarding the future of his brother, Jimmy Uso

Jey Uso appears to be on track in his WWE push, and the recent character turn is something most wrestling fans are not going to buy. The 35-year-old wrestler aligned with reigning WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns during a recent episode of SmackDown.

As most would expect, the WWE storyline involving Uso and Reigns is far from over. But rather than a rematch or another physical encounter, there was a new twist in the feud.

After defeating Daniel Bryan in a WWE Survivor Series men’s team qualifying match, the character change happened. The former WWE tag team champion aligned with Reigns and tried to prove that with a post-match beating of Bryan during the Friday edition of WWE SmackDown Live.

It was a surprise twist for WWE fans, although it is clear that there is bound to be a familiar storyline happening along the way. That could happen at the WWE Survivor Series set to go down on Nov. 22.

After sealing his seat in the Survivor Series men’s team, Uso made sure that he will be at the pay-per-view. Reigns will be in one of the main events at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, facing WWE champion Randy Orton. Like Reigns, Orton is also embroiled in a storyline that involves Drew McIntyre.

Based on the stage that is now set, there is a lot to expect on Nov. 22. Uso and McIntyre could be part of the main event, showing up to offer some color to the match.

Also, it would be best not to forget Bray “The Fiend” Wyatt, who has a beef with Orton as well. To sum it all up, it will be a hellacious night at the Amway Center in a couple of weeks.

As for Uso, it will be interesting to see how long he will be playing the healing character. Most know that at some point, the true intentions of the WWE star will be known. And by all accounts, that is to get another shot at his cousin’s Universal title.

Looking further, it also raises questions on what the promotion has in store for Jimmy Uso, Jey’s brother. Jimmy is recovering from a knee injury, something he sustained at Wrestlemania 36.
