KEY POINTS

  • WWE recently had a major layoff of their staff members and top talent
  • This opens the opportunity for new talent to step up and get pushed to the main event
  • Newcomer Brendan Vink is rumored to get pushed like Braun Strowman

One of the recent wrestling rumors circulating is that WWE is planning to push one of their young stars into stardom. Brendan Vink of NXT is speculated to be a big star in the future similar to what the company did to Braun Strowman.

The WWE recently had a major change in their roster as they released several of their talent and staff members. These include crowd favorites Rusev and Kurt Angle. In addition to this, the company laid off even its longest-tenured official Mike Chioda.

This introduced an influx of new talent to step in with stars from NXT making recent main roster appearances. Among these stars include Vink who had an impressive victory in his tag team bout with his partner Shane Thorne. The duo defeated the high-flying pair of Cedric Alexander and Ricochet care of an explosive running boot by Vink.

It has been reported that Vink is off to a push similar to Strowman given how the Monster Among Men started off in a stable. Vink and Thorne were recently brought together with former United States Champion MVP leading their team. The two versatile wrestlers managed by a veteran who has experience in pulling off promos can be the push Vink will benefit from.

The physical attributes are all there in Vink with his six-foot-five frame towering him over his opponents. Couple this with 253 pounds of lean muscle and he could be a force to be reckoned with inside the ring. These fit him in well with the stereotypical traits of a WWE superstar of muscle and an aesthetically pleasing physique.

Per Wrestling Inc, Vink’s appearances in the main roster are similar to how Strowman was pushed back then during the Wyatt family angle. From there, Strowman has developed into one of the company’s best talents as he’s blossomed in the singles competition. He jumped from the Intercontinental title to recently winning the Universal Championship.

While nothing’s for certain yet, it would be interesting to see how the career of Vink will turn up amidst all the talk and rumors.
