WWE Rumors: The Undertaker Ignites Speculation He Could Return For WrestleMania 35 Match
The Undertaker has been a staple of WrestleMania for more than two decades, even in the years since he stopped being a full-time WWE performer. There has been speculation, however, that the Deadman might finally take a break from the biggest event on the wrestling calendar.
It wasn’t long ago that The Wrestling Observer reported WWE had yet to pencil in The Undertaker for a match at WrestleMania 35 on April 7. The Undertaker also removed any references to WWE in his social media profiles, instead, listing a website for promoters to visit for any potential bookings.
Now, The Undertaker’s social media platforms have some thinking that the future WWE Hall of Famer could be making plans to have a match with the company. The 53-year-old posted a picture of himself standing outside a private airplane Thursday morning, indicating he had an important meeting on the way.
Could it be a meeting with Vince McMahon to discuss plans for WrestleMania 35? Whether that's the case or not, the legendary wrestler had to know that's what much of the WWE Universe would be led to believe.
The Undertaker defeated John Cena at WrestleMania 34 in a match that lasted less than three minutes. It was his first match since losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 when it looked like the Deadman was done wrestling for good.
WWE Crown Jewel on Nov. 2 marked The Undertaker’s last WWE TV appearance. He teamed up with Kane in a match against Shawn Michaels and Triple H. After losing the match, The Brothers of Destruction attacked the members of D-Generation X, perhaps indicating that the feud wasn’t finished.
The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak ended in 2014 when he was defeated by Brock Lesnar after 21 consecutive victories at the event. He’s since picked up WrestleMania wins over Cena, Bray Wyatt and Shane McMahon.
