The ‘X Factor’s’ Simon Cowell Ignites Twitter: ‘If Madonna, Bobby Brown & Dracula Had A Child It Would Be You’
Simon Cowell arguably turned out to be the breakout star from "American Idol," and now he's making headlines on his newer show that appears on Fox Wednesday nights, "The X Factor."
"The X Factor" is similar to "American Idol" in that some of the contestants are singers, but they don't have to be musically inclined to participate in the show; they just need to have "The X Factor."
This year's season of "The X Factor" includes celebrity judges Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid.
Pop princess Spears said in a promotional clip for the show, "I had no idea what to expect to work with Simon. I just knew he had a reputation for being a little ... blunt."
To give an example of what Spears was talking about, Cowell told a contestant on Wednesday night's show, "If you imagine Madonna, Bobby Brown and Dracula had a child, it would be you. But in a weird way, I kind of liked it."
"Madonna, Bobby Brown and Dracula" instantly became trending on Twitter the moment Cowell uttered the words.
"Still cant stop laughing about simon's comment! Imagine Madonna, Bobby Brown and dracula had a child! LMFAO!" @TatiNana_ tweeted.
"he said dat man look like bobby brown and dracula lol" @mzBrittanyOn1 explained.
"Bobby Brown and Dracula is trending, omg. @M0Re_eB" posted @ambriehlmonster.
"imagine if Madonna, Bobby Brown and Dracula had a child...it would be you" I almost fell out XFactor," @BlackMadonna1 shared.
But Cowell is not the only judge fans can expect bold statements from. In an interview with People magazine Tuesday, Demi Lovato and Brittney Spears said they aren't afraid to show their true feelings either.
"We got more comfortable in telling our opinions without being afraid of the booing," Lovato said. "When Britney and I first started on this show, we were looking at each other like, 'What do we do? We're so nervous!' "
"There's no way of prepping, really," sais Spears. "You just get ready and you go out there and you do it."
Simon Cowell believes that Spears will be a good addition to the show. "She's fearless," he told reporters. "When she says 'no' or disagrees, she couldn't care less."
