Xbox One Exclusive ‘Forza Motorsport 6’ New Cars And Frame Rate Confirmed
The latest slew of cars revealed for the coming “Forza Motorsport 6” is in line with the Gamescom event, which is currently being held in Germany. Microsoft and developer Turn 10 Studios announced a couple of European rides and the expected BMW line.
Spearheading the parade of European cars is the 1975 BMW 3.0 Coupe Sport Lightweight. Not only does it have a mark in most race series worldwide, it also features the classic color, Microsoft announced via the Xbox Wire.
Another BMW racing favorite and one that has been dubbed as the “ultimate driving machine” is the 2014 BMW #55 Z4 GTE. Popularized by the Team Rahal Letterman Lanigan, it was also the drive that marked the team’s success in the American LeMans Series and Grand Am racing series.
Turn 10 Studios announced nine more BMW cars in the latest Garage reveal. However, alongside the German car brand, there is also a bevy of other brands and models from big names like Audi, Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, Chevrolet and Bentley, to name a few.
Apart from the new cars announced at the German gaming event, Turn 10 Studios has also promised a full 60FPS experience for fans of the franchise. What’s even more interesting is that it will be a fluid and consistent experience, regardless of the scene and action happening onscreen.
“Forza Motorsport 6” Creative Director Dan Greenawalt confirmed this with DualShockers. He said the focus of the creation of the game involved the team ensuring that the game starts, continues and ends with 60FPS quality all throughout.
“You have to build your cars to be 60. You have to build every piece of code to be 60 … to deliver an experience that never drops below, and we took that very seriously,” Greenawalt told DualShockers.
“Forza Motorsport 6” is expected to be released on Sept. 15. It is an Xbox One exclusive, with more cars expected to be revealed before its release date.
