The final scores in Week 1 of 2020 XFL season weren’t particularly close, but that’s expected to change in Week 2. No team is favored by more than one possession on the upcoming schedule.

The Houston Roughnecks (-280) are the biggest favorites in Week 2, laying seven points against the visiting St. Louis BattleHawks (+240). Houston scored a league-high 37 points in Week 1 behind four touchdown passes from P.J. Walker. St. Louis pulled off the biggest upset of the opening weekend, defeating the Dallas Renegades on the road.

Dallas (-160) is favored to pick up its first win of the season when the Renegades visit the Los Angeles Wildcats (+140). Landry Jones is expected to make his debut for the Renegades after missing Week 1 with a knee injury. The Wildcats hope to have Josh Johnson at quarterback. Charles Kanoff got the start in the opener in place of the injured Johnson.

Los Angeles fired defensive coordinator Pepper Johnson Monday, following a poor defensive performance against the Roughnecks. The contest in Houston features the highest betting total of Week 2.

In another battle of winless teams, the Tampa Bay Vipers (-135) will visit the Seattle Dragons (+115). Tampa Bay is the smallest favorite of Week 2. The Vipers were held to three points in the season opener.

The DC Defenders (-230) are home favorites against the New York Guardians (+195). Cardale Jones posted the league’s best passer rating in Week 1. New York had the best defensive effort with a 23-3 victory at home.
