Xiaomi Mi 4S Officially Announced; Specifications, Price Revealed

Xiaomi Mi 4S, a budget-friendly smartphone, has been officially unveiled at the Xiaomi Mi 5 launch event. It comes with midrange specs and affordable price.

The Xiaomi Mi 4S is an upgraded edition of the Xiaomi Mi 4i from 2014. It sports a very slim design as it measures 139.26 x 70.76 x 7.8 mm and weighs 133 grams (4.6 ounces).

It comes in color options like black, white, gold and pink. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that features a metal and glass combination chassis, GSM Arena reported.

It is packed with a 5-inch display that supports a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Snapdragon 808 chipset that powers the Xiaomi Mi 4C is present inside the Xiaomi Mi 4S smartphone. The chipset also powers popular smartphones like the LG G4, Moto X Pure Edition 2015 and Lumia 950 XL.

The Snapdragon 808 features a hexa-core processor an Adreno 418 graphics. The SoC is coupled with 3 GB of RAM. The native storage of the Xiaomi Mi 4S is 64 GB. One of the best features of the smartphone is that it carries support for microSD card slot, a feature that was not provided on the Mi 4, Mi 4i and Mi 4c smartphones.

The rear side houses a 13-megapixel camera module that is equipped with features like phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. The front-facing snapper is of 5-megapixel. Its backside also houses a fingerprint scanner and it also features an infrared sensor.

For connectivity, the smartphone is equipped with features like 4G with VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and USB Type-C. The smartphone lacks NFC connectivity. It is equipped with a huge battery of 3260 mAh capacity that carries support for Quick Charge 2.0 from Qualcomm. As far as the Xiaomi Mi 4S price is concerned, it costs 1699 Yuan ($260).
