Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro Unlocked Preorders Have Started For $142.79
Gear Best has now started the worldwide preorders of the unlocked Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro with a price tag of $142.79 include free shipping charges. The preorders will expire on July 15.
By paying an additional fee, customers can receive the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro from Gear Best within three to seven days, claims Phone Arena. The Redmi 2 Pro and the Redmi 2 come with same specs, except for RAM: the former features 2 GB of RAM and the latter comes with 1 GB of RAM.
The Redmi 2 Pro comes with a 4.7-inch display that supports an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The Redmi 2 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset and houses a 64-bit quad-core processor that produces a clocking speed of 1.2 GHz along with Adreno 305 graphics.
The internal storage available on the device is 16 GB. The external storage slot can detect up to 32 GB of microSD. There is an 8 MP camera on the rear side of the device and the front features a 2 MP camera.
Like the Redmi 2, the Redmi 2 Pro is also a dual-SIM device. It has several connectivity features, such as 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, v4.0 Bluetooth, USB OTA, and comes equipped with a 2,200 mAh capacity battery.
The device comes preloaded with Android 4.4.4 KitKat that is overlaid with Xaiomi’s proprietary MIUI 6 software. Phone Arena adds that the Chinese manufacturer will soon be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Redmi 2 Pro.
Meanwhile, on the official Facebook account of Xiaomi, there's a new teaser image exclusively for Indian customers and hints about the company offering something new with a price tag of INR 5,999 on July 7. NDTV claims that the Chinese manufacturer may slash the price of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 that launched in India in March.
Some others are speculating that Xiaomi may launch the Redmi 2A handset on July 7. However, there is no official confirmation from Xiaomi on reducing the price of Redmi 2 or launching the all-new Redmi 2A for Indian consumers.
