Xiaomi Redmi 3S Preorders Have Started; Costs $151 With Free Shipping For Worldwide Buyers

Xiaomi Redmi 3S, the budget smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, was announced earlier. The preorders of the smartphone have started on GearBest with a price tag of $151.89 along with free global shipping.

Even though the Redmi 3S has a budget phone, Xiaomi has launched with a metal unibody design. It features a 5-inch display that supports HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3, which was launched in January this year, is powered by Snapdragon 616 chipset. However, the Redmi 3S is fueled by Snapdragon 430 chipset. It comes in two storage models of 16 GB and 32 GB. The base model features 2 GB of RAM whereas the 32 GB variant includes 3 GB of RAM.

The rear camera of Redmi 3S is of 13-megapixel and comes with features like phase detection autofocus and LED flash. It houses a front-facing shooter of 5-megapixel.

The Redmi 3S comes preinstalled with MUI 7 UI flavored Android Lollipop OS. It includes a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. It is a dual-SIM phone that includes a massive battery of 4,100 mAh capacity that carries support for fast charging. It is available in color choices like grey, silver and gold.

Like other Xiaomi phones, the Redmi 3S will be available for purchase in select markets like China and India. There is no confirmation on whether Xiaomi will launch the device in the U.S. However, GearBest, a third party retailer from China has started the preorders of Xiaomi Redmi 3S for worldwide customers along with free shipping service.

The 16 GB + 2 GB RAM model is available with the Chinese retailer for $151. The preorders of this variant will end on July 5. The 32 GB + 3 GB model is listed with a pricing of $209. Customers can preorder this model until July 15.
