As far as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 price goes, Mobi Picker quoting the Chinese tipster @KJuma says, the handset will set buyers back by $177 (1,099 yuan). However, it is worth noting earlier rumors pointed to a price equivalent of just $128, Phone Arena said.

Certified by Tenaa, China's equivalent of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, the upcoming Xiaomi device reportedly will come in two models distinguished by their processors, Phone Arena reported. One of them will apparently come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC while the other will be powered by a MediaTek chip. At this point, however, there is no confirmation on which model will hit international markets.

Redmi Note 2 reportedly will feature a 5.5-inch display, fitted with 1,080-by-1,920 pixel screen resolution. The smartphone will be backed by 2GB of RAM and there will be 16GB of native storage on board. No microSD card slot is provided to expand the memory. On the software front, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS is expected to be on board.

When it comes to camera configuration, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is to sport a 13 megapixel rear-facing unit, in addition to a 5 MP front-facing shooter for selfies and live video chats. Speaking of size, the handset will reportedly be 8.05 mm (0.32 inch) thick and will weigh 159 grams (5.6 ounces). Moreover, a solid 3,100 mAh battery unit will keep the lights on for a longer period of time. In any case, readers should note Xiaomi has not confirmed the Redmi Note 2 specifications or price.
