You Could Be Getting Paid For Watching Hallmark Christmas Movies
Imagine you’re sitting on your couch, watching Hallmark Christmas movies and getting paid for it. Well, that is no longer a fantasy because your guilty pleasure dreams have come true.
CenturyLinkQuote is “looking for a lover of all things Christmas, G-Rated romcoms, and too-close-to-home family dramas,” according to a press release announcing the promotion.
The person they choose will get paid $1,000 to watch 24 Hallmark Christmas movies by Christmas Day, and there will be a variety to choose from because Hallmark is releasing 40 new films this holiday season.
On top of the payment, the lucky winner will also receive a Hallmark Movie-watching kit. This includes a streaming service subscription, a packet of hot cocoa, a box of Christmas cookies, a string of fairy lights, a mini Christmas tree and more Hallmark swag.
Before applying people should consider if they fit into the guidelines for “the perfect candidate.” Among the requirements are a love for Christmas, being a US Resident over 18 and the ability to use Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
While watching the movies the winner will have to post on social media every time they’re watching a new movie, making sure they put the hashtags #CountdowntoChristmas and #HallmarkDreamJob in every post, and they will have to finish 24 movies by Christmas Day.
It may be hard to understand why a company would do this but, they are looking to “understand what role Christmas movies play in people’s holiday traditions, and how folks are choosing to watch their most beloved holiday classics.”
Applications are open now until Friday, Dec. 6. You can apply here. If you want to better your chances at winning, CenturyLinkQuote says to “create a 2-3 minute video showcasing your best holiday spirit. Build a snowman? Great. Sing a Christmas carol? All the better!”
