'You' Season 2 Release Date, Plot And Everything We Know So Far
Netflix's "You" Season 2 has been confirmed, and many fans are looking forward to where the campy stalker drama slash rom-com (and Penn Badgley's fan-favorite Joe) will go next.
For those have not yet watched the show, "You" follows the story of Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager who meets a woman named Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) in his shop. As the story goes, boy meets girl, bookstore manager falls in love with pretty blonde. However, this love develops into an obsession, and Joe does whatever he can to make Beck his -- including murder.
But for those already obsessed with the show, here's what we know about it so far.
"You" Season 2 has no release date announced yet, but we know it will be released on Netflix. Fortunately, fans won't have to wait too long as according to the Netflix show's official Instagram page, the announcement will be made soon.
Badgley is sure to return, and his character will apparently be dealing with Candace (Ambyr Childers). Among those also confirmed to return for the second season are Paco's mom Claudia (Victoria Cartagena), Ethan (Zach Cherry), Lynn (Nicole King) and Annika (Kathryn Gallagher).
Lail's Beck and Shay Mitchell's Peach Salinger may also make an appearance in "You" Season 2, but only as visions haunting Joe.
There's also no confirmation if John Stamos' Dr. Nicky will be appearing in the second season, but there's a chance he will be. "You" co-creator Sera Gamble previously told Vanity Fair that they are "excited to keep telling that story."
The location of the show will also change as Joe will move to Los Angeles in "You" Season 2. However, Gamble told The Hollywood Reporter that since Joe is a die-hard New Yorker, he may have a hard time adjusting to LA.
Meanwhile, the plot of "You" Season 2 will apparently explore Joe's past and how he became like this. "Joe was already a teenager by the time he even met Mr. Mooney," the co-creator said in her interview. "There's a lot more to explore about Joe from earlier in his life. Those are the things we're starting to get into for Season 2."
Joe may also be in danger of being caught in "You" Season 2 as Peach's family hired people to investigate her alleged suicide. His actions may eventually come and bite him in the behind as he may have left evidence of his crime in Peach's house.
