‘You’ Season 3: Cast, Plot And Everything You Should Know About The Series
“You” is all set to be back to steal your sleep with its third season. After an explosive Season 2, dark and twisted Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn are coming back to wreak more havoc in each other’s lives.
In Season 2, Penn Badgley’s character, Joe, found his perfect match in Victoria Pedretti's character, Love Quinn, who is just as dark and twisted as he is. At the end of the season, it was revealed that Joe and Love are planning to move to the suburbs after he finds out she was pregnant with his baby.
Meanwhile, the “Gossip Girl” alum teased that Joe’s relationship with Love won’t stop him from finding a new obsession, which has already been teased in Season 2 with the arrival of Michaela McManus.
“It’s definitely a dangerous cycle,” Badgley told TVLine. “It’s kind of like old patterns and habits. We recognize them more as we get older, and we often find that they’re extremely hard to break. Maybe that’s what we’re seeing with him? His particular cycle is so awful. Technically, he has improved. Yes, he was going to kill Love, but he stopped when she told him she was pregnant. I really don’t know what’s in store there,” he said.
“They’re not soulmates. He’s afraid of her at the end [of Season 2],” Badgley teased about Joe and Love’s Season 3 journey. “Basically, it’s set up for Season 3 in a way where they would be each other’s arch-nemesis,” he explained.
When asked about the couple’s journey into parenting, he added, “Does he have it in him, in that he’s a human being? Is it possible? Sure. And if there’s anything that can change a person, it’s parenthood. But I don’t know that Joe can or should change. I certainly don’t know if he will change."
It’s also reported by US Magazine, that Jack Fisher will be taking on the role of Young Joe, which means fans are going to learn more about his childhood.
Talking about the rest of the cast, Michaela McManus will be reprising her role of Joe’s next-door neighbor and new obsession. Saffron Burrows who plays Love's mother has been upped to a series regular.
Besides McManus and Burrows, Scott Speedman, Travis Van Winkle, Shalita Grant, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ben Mehl, Chris O’Shea, Christopher Sean, Bryan Safi, Mackenzie Astin, Ayelet Zurer, Jack Fisher and Mauricio Lara are all set to appear alongside Badgley and Pedretti.
