‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Can Devon Be Saved From His Spiral?
He forgave his sister for her role in the deaths of his wife and unborn child, but his grief over their being gone has led Devon into a downward spiral. Now, his loved ones will pull out all the stops in an attempt to save him from himself on the Wednesday, Nov. 28 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
No one really noticed how much Devon (Bryton James) was spiraling out of control on the CBS soap after Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) death because the focus was on Lily (Christel Khalil) as she adjusted to her new life in prison, where she was serving time for causing the crash that ultimately led to her sister-in-law's death. However, after Nate (Brooks Darnell) saw Devon partying at his apartment instead of going with the rest of the family to visit Lily on Thanksgiving, he realized what was happening on the CBS soap. He has quickly alerted the others, like Cane (Daniel Goddard), and they want to quickly help him before it becomes too late.
Now, knowing they need to bring someone in who can secretly watch after Devon and make sure he eventually gets back on track and snaps out of his depression, Cane and Nate will work together to bring his other sister, Ana (Loren Lott) back to Genoa City to keep an eye on him. Devon will be ecstatic to see her, and the two will quickly bond again as they make plans to work together. However, Ana will later express doubts to Nate that Devon is depressed because she doesn’t see it—but he will encourage her to still follow through because everyone believes she is the key to making Devon better.
Of course, it appears even Ana may not help, as a preview clip for the week’s episodes (see above) shows Devon may have spiraled even further than anyone thought. In the clip, Cane confronts his brother-in-law with a bag of pills—and it may quickly become clear that Devon is already too far gone to be saved.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
