‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea Resorts To Old Tricks To Find Chloe

She wants to find the woman who murdered her husband so she can also learn who her accomplice was, and as Chelsea’s search takes her to San Francisco, she will use some of her old tricks to try and get the information she seeks on the Monday, May 22 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Ever since learning her best friend murdered her husband in the cabin explosion, Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) has been desperate to find Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) on the CBS soap. Chloe managed to flee town and even get out of the country thanks to Victor’s (Eric Braden) assistance, but Chelsea has yet to uncover that connection. Though Victor tried to persuade her not to pursue the matter, Chelsea has remained focused on doing just that. After getting Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) approval on her plan, she headed to San Francisco, where she is now in the hopes of finding out some of the information she is after.

Chelsea will head to the mental hospital where Chloe had previously been a patient, aware that she isn’t there. Knowing however that the staff won’t fill her in on any information regarding Chloe’s history while she was a patient in the facility, Chelsea will tap into her former instincts as a con woman, and use her past to her advantage.

“Thank you for meeting with me,” she says to a nurse in a preview clip. “I am very concerned about my sister, Chloe.”

When she’s told Chloe isn’t at the facility, Chelsea will feign shock, but continue trying to work on a plan to get any background information she can. However, her attempts at telling wild stories to convince the nurse she is family and should have access to private information won’t work, forcing her to use the only tool she’ll have left in her arsenal—bribery.

Chelsea’s mission is important to her because she needs to know who worked with Chloe to frame Adam for Constance Bingham’s death. That event was the very one which set off the chain leading to his death. She isn’t aware though that Victor, whom she believes is genuinely grieving for his son, is the actual culprit she seeks.

One person who does know the truth however is Nick, who, along with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle), is keeping the fact that Victor was Chloe’s initial accomplice a secret. They have all disowned him privately for what he did, but aren’t disclosing the real story to anyone else either. Though Nick encouraged Chelsea to find out the truth, if she winds up learning along the way that he has been keeping the very information she seeks from her, it could mean that their relationship will officially meet its end.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
