‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: How Will Phyllis Outsmart Jack And Billy?
She officially put her name in the ring when it came to determining the next CEO at Jabot, even though her main competitors don’t think she has a shot at getting the job. However, Phyllis will make a move which seems to up her chances and proves she can outsmart both Jack and Billy when it comes to getting what she wants on the Wednesday, Oct. 31 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Following Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) departure from Genoa City, the top spot at the Abbott family company is officially up for grabs, and while the Blood Abbott clause is no longer in effect, both Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy (Jason Thompson) believe they are the only ones who can handle the job on the CBS soap. However, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) also feels that she deserves a shot, and has revealed that she thinks the best move is for someone who is not family to take it on. Now, the race is on between the three to become the next CEO.
Y&R spoilers tease that “a power struggle heats up at Jabot,” meaning that all three will step up their game as they try to take the lead, but Phyllis still appears likely to be the one who comes out on top.
A preview clip for the week’s episodes seems to indicate that Phyllis will be able to jump ahead of both Jack and Billy when it comes to getting the job, as both men seem shocked in the clip, though Billy seems more content to see his ex-fiancée fail.
“I plan on having a front row seat to watch you implode,” he says in the clip.
Of course, if Phyllis is going to successfully claim the CEO chair for herself, it will mean she needs to make a powerful move which secures her the gig. While using her connection to Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Fenmore’s could be a huge win since she would be the one to have her best interests at heart. However, also finding the best person to take over Ashley’s old job heading up R&D may be the best way for her to surge ahead.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
