'Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Lily Attempts To Help Cane
Their divorce was put on hold after Juliet's sudden death, and now, as her son with Cane's life hangs in the balance, Lily will step up and help her soon-to-be ex and the baby who lost his mother on the Thursday, Nov. 29 episode of "The Young and the Restless."
As Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily's (Christel Khalil) divorce appeared to be finalized, Juliet (Laur Allen) collapsed, and was rushed into an emergency surgery to save both her and the baby she had with Cane. However, while his son, Sam, was born, Juliet didn't make it on the CBS soap, leaving Cane alone with a new baby. However, he has found some support from his estranged wife, as well as their children together, and that will still seem to be the case as he continues to try and move on.
Lily will meet up with Cane to discuss things with their kids, but things will quickly come to an abrupt end when he receives a call from his infant son's doctor—and is forced to race to the hospital as a result.
"What's wrong?" Lily asks in a preview clip for the episode.
"It's Sam's doctor," Cane says as he rushes to leave. "He said he needs to see me. It sounds serious."
Lily will race off with Cane and remain by his side as he goes to find out what could be wrong with his poor son, and unfortunately for him, the news certainly won't be good.
While Sam was saved during the immediate moment of danger as Juliet died, he hasn't been entirely out of the woods, because he was born prematurely. Because of that, he has been suffering from a heart condition and other adverse effects, with the hope that the right medications and treatments will cure him, make him healthy, and allow Cane to take his son home.
However, with Lily by his side, Cane will learn the devastating news that the medication is not in fact helping his son, and now, he may be forced to say goodbye to him as well, because losing him is a very real possibility.
"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
