‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Nikki’s Request Leads To Questions From Jack
She is looking for a way to get back at the husband she is angry with, but Nikki’s decision to go to Jack for help with her plot could lead to more trouble in Genoa City on the Friday, April 28 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has become even more furious with Victor (Eric Braden) since he left town because of the ways he is trying to win back the members of his family who have disowned him on the CBS soap. To win her affections back, he donated money to a local university to make a wing for MS research in her name, and though the gesture is one that is thoughtful, Nikki knows it comes with strings attached. Seeking a way to get rid of the feelings she has about it, she went to Jack (Peter Bergmann) to ask him for help in getting some of her usual mojo back. But now, in a preview clip for the show, Jack will see her question as a sign that things aren’t well in the Newman family, and he will try to capitalize on any information he can get if it means taking Victor down.
“You’re asking for advice on how to get your groove back,” he says to Nikki in the clip. “Makes me wonder what’s really going on between you and Victor.”
While Nikki, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) have all disowned Victor because they realized he played an indirect role in Adam’s death by bringing Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to town in the first place and working with her to set Adam up for a crime he didn’t commit, they are also keeping the information all to themselves, for the sake of protecting their own reputations and interests. Realizing her request could be piquing Jack’s curiosity, Nikki will quickly deflect and insist she and Victor are fine, and she’s just looking for a way to spice things up in her everyday setting. Jack will give her a few options as a joke, and the two will take their conversation back to the Ranch.

There, they will enjoy one another’s company, as Nikki plays piano for Jack and admits he helped give her the idea to reignite her passion for music, which is something that has also been helped by her grandson Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) being back in town as well. As she plays, she and Jack will decide she will take it back up outside of her home as well, and she will play at her charity benefit. From there, the two will head to the couch to look at old photo albums and reminisce about their time together as a couple. But trouble could find them when Victor arrives back home and sees them looking cozy together—complete with Jack’s arm around his wife’s shoulders.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
