‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Victoria Makes A Decision About Brash And Sassy’s Future

She was forced to settle the sexual harassment case after learning that Cane did in fact sleep with Juliet and had lied to her. Now, Victoria will make some big decisions regarding the future of who will be working at Brash and Sassy on the Wednesday, July 5 episode of “The Young and the Restless,” and who won’t.

After she was fired from Brash and Sassy over the nearly botched hockey deal, Juliet (Laur Allen) filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against both the company and Cane (Daniel Goddard), claiming he had coerced her into having sex before offering her a job on the CBS soap. However, Cane denied the charge vehemently, to both protect his job, and his marriage to Lily (Christel Khalil). Unfortunately, his lies ran out after Juliet revealed she was pregnant, and the date of conception lined up with when she said they slept together in Tokyo.

After he confessed, Lily and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) were both furious with him for stringing them along, making them believe the claims were baseless. Even though Juliet was lying about being sexually harassed, there was no way to win the lawsuit now that she was pregnant with Cane’s child. Now, Victoria has decided to settle out of court and will prepare to give Juliet the agreed-upon amount of money. However, before she does that, she will warn her former employee that there is a catch to her receiving the money.

“Before I give you this check Juliet, there’s something I need from you,” Victoria says in a preview clip.

Victoria will remind Juliet that the money is contingent upon a non-disclosure agreement, and if she were to speak of the situation to anyone else, she would be forced to pay back every single cent. Juliet will agree to the terms and go on her way, but paying off her former employee won’t be the only action Victoria takes. When Cane arrives for work, Victoria will inform him that his lies and his actions cost the company too much, and he will be fired immediately from his job as a result.

Now, knowing he is without a job, Cane will feel like he needs to do something drastic to help himself. While the pregnancy did force him to come clean about sleeping with Juliet, he wonders if the baby really is his. Knowing there is always a chance someone else may have gotten her pregnant, and hopeful learning the truth could potentially save both his marriage and his job, Cane will inform Lily that he needs to get a paternity test. Much to his surprise however, Lily will be shocked that he wants to go see the woman her cheated on her with, and may forbid him from going.

“I’m going to go and see Juliet today,” he says in the clip.

“Are you kidding?” Lily replies.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
