He was already shunned by the rest of the family and banned from mourning with them after Victor’s sudden death. Now, as more news comes out about what may have led to his shocking demise, Adam could find himself becoming the main suspect in a homicide investigation as a result on the Thursday, Sept. 19 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Since Victor’s (Eric Braden) unexpected death, his family has been left reeling, and not long after his sudden passing, Nick (Joshua Morrow) threw his brother, Adam (Mark Grossman) off the ranch, accusing him of wanting Victor dead on the CBS soap. Since then, he has also begun to suspect that his brother somehow played a role in Victor’s rapidly deteriorating condition as he took an experimental medication for his blood disorder. Now, it appears he isn’t the only one who suspects Adam did something, because as news spreads of what happened, his loved ones will seek police help.

“Nikki wants Paul’s help,” spoilers reveal.

Victor’s wife, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will quickly work to get the police to look into if there was anything that seemed like foul play when it came to her husband’s death, and she will use her connection to the chief, Paul (Doug Davidson), as she seeks answers. She will also immediately suspect that Adam could have done something and won’t want him to get away with it if he did. Though all they have right now is suspicion, lab results from the autopsy could wind up proving that Victor did have elevated medication levels in the blood—and that will officially make things a homicide investigation.

That won’t only be bad news for Adam, who did switch his father’s medication with a higher dosage, but Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) as well, since she helped him access the medical records by hacking into Nate’s (Sean Dominic) tablet, and also knows what he did overall. Now, desperate to prove she is there for her daughter, Summer (Hunter King), who is grieving her grandfather, Phyllis is trying to ingratiate herself within the Newman family—but will also find herself on the outside after a confrontation with Nick.

“Phyllis is surprised by Nick,” spoilers state.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
