Her leaving town a year and a half ago broke his heart and opened some very big wounds for him that he never expected to have. However, following her return to Genoa City and threats to both of them from Adam, Chelsea and Nick may find themselves forced to work together in order to protect the lives they’ve built for themselves on the Tuesday, July 2 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) came back to Genoa City to remind Adam (Marc Grossman) that she had moved on after his alleged death, and was now happily married to another man, who also adopted their son Connor. After realizing she genuinely had no intention of reuniting with him, Adam reminded her he will stop at nothing to get back his sons, and though she still insisted that Connor was in a stable situation, Adam likely won’t give up, no matter how much he loved Chelsea in the past. Now on the CBS soap, she will go see the other man who loved her—the one she wronged when she left town, and the similarities over their struggles with Adam could give them a new bond.

“Chelsea wants forgiveness from Nick (Joshua Morrow),” spoilers reveal.

Chelsea ended her engagement to Nick before leaving town with Connor last year after the truth about her money stealing scheme with her fashion line came to light. Since then, he also learned that she had been keeping the truth about Christian being Adam’s son a secret as well, and that has led to new problems for him since his brother also came back to town. Adam has pulled out every scheme in the book and is even digging up any dirt he can as he sues Nick for custody of the little boy, and Nick is determined to find some way to stop him from taking the son he’s been raising as his own for years. Considering that Adam is likely threatening to also take Connor from Chelsea, Nick could decide to forgive everything that happened between them in the past—and instead ask his ex to now team up as they try and take Adam down.

However, Chelsea may be hesitant because she doesn’t want to risk getting her new husband involved in her past drama—even though he will also be heading to Genoa City and confronting her former spouse on his own.

“Chelsea’s husband Calvin (John Burke) arrives in Genoa City,” spoilers state.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
