He’s been desperately trying to find someone who is a match and can give Lola the liver transplant she needs in order to survive. Now, as he learns that Summer may be the only hope Lola has, Kyle could make the biggest sacrifice yet for the woman he loves on the Tuesday, March 5 episode of “The Young and the Restless.’

Kyle (Michael Mealor) was finally able to see a comatose Lola (Sasha Calle) in the hospital after he made a public plea on GC Buzz for people to get tested and see if they were a match for her, and since then on the CBS soap, several people have tried to see if they could be a donor with no success. That all changed however when Summer (Hunter King) was tested—and she was shocked to learn from Nate (Brooks Darnell) that she was, in fact, a match. However, she then inquired about how serious of a surgery it was, and seemed less willing to go through with the procedure after all, especially since it will save the life of her romantic rival. However, she could also see the situation as an opportunity when it comes to getting exactly what she wants.

“Kyle faces a difficult decision,” spoilers reveal.

A preview clip for the week’s episodes (see above) shows Kyle telling Summer he would do anything she wanted if it meant she went through with the transplant, meaning she might have a very specific demand if she’s going to do it. As a result, what she requests could be the thing that puts Kyle in a weird position.

Because Summer wants Kyle for herself and has so far done whatever she can to win him back from Lola, she will likely try to spin this so she gets him back. Considering he would do anything to save Lola, even if it meant not getting to be with her anymore when she woke up, Kyle may feel there’s no other choice but for him to be with Summer after all—making things even more difficult for him than they were before.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
