She’s been stressing out ever since she realized her husband could take the fall for her when it came to a conviction for JT’s murder. Now, as Victor is taken to trial, Nikki could make a decision which will change everything on the Friday, Feb. 8 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Victor (Eric Braden) was the prime suspect in JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) murder for a while, and things only became more treacherous for him on the CBS soap when someone sent the police a recording from the ranch that implicated him further. As a result, his trial was moved up, and the day for him to face a judge has arrived.

Young and the Restless
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) makes a surprising decision on the Feb. 8, 2019 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” The actress is featured in an earlier episode.  CBS

However, his being tried for the murder is something Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is having a hard time with because she is the one who actually committed the murder. In addition, Vitoria (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are also involved in the initial coverup, and Nick (Joshua Morrow), Victor and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) have also all learned the truth and helped keep it buried. While everyone is hopeful Victor will eventually beat the charges and they can keep him safe without the secret getting out, Nikki may decide the time has finally come to reveal the truth.

“Nikki makes a surprising decision,” spoilers tease.

A preview clip for the week’s episodes (see above) shows Nikki stopping Christine (Lauralee Bell) from taking Victor away by stating that she needs to tell her something that will keep the trial from happening. If Nikki is making a decision, it could mean she has finally decided to come clean—and instead of Victor going to trial, Nikki will be headed to a jail cell where she will await her own sentencing.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
