'Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Will Phyllis Get What She Wants?
She wanted to find a way to get what she wants out of Jabot following her being fired from the company, but Phyllis’ attempt to blackmail Jack into giving her Fenmore’s could backfire on her instead on the Friday, April 12 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
After realizing Jack (Peter Bergman) didn’t intend to give her anything following her ouster from Jabot, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) decided to instead find a way to get Fenmore’s on her own. After learning about the reason Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Hunter King) got married on the CBS soap, she saw her in, because she knew Kyle still wanted to be with Lola (Sasha Calle). She then manipulated the situation to get Kyle and Lola alone together as a photographer took photos—and now, she will use those to try and force Jack to release Fenmore’s from the contract it has with Jabot, so she can run it with Lauren (Tracey Bregman) independently.
However, despite having photos that appear incriminating, Phyllis may find herself still unsuccessful at achieving her goal.
“Phyllis’ plan takes an unforeseen turn,” spoilers reveal.
What Phyllis doesn’t know is that while Kyle and Lola did get a room at the GCAC, they didn’t go through with having sex, and instead, declared their love for one another and vowed not to do anything else until he could end his marriage. If Kyle goes through with that part of the plan, then the blackmail photos don’t really serve Phyllis much good, since they would really only show a man and a woman who are in love going into a room together.
In addition, Jack may trust that his son wouldn’t allow scandal to harm the family business, especially when it is in such a precarious state. He also isn’t going to let someone keep him from having the success he wants as the CEO of Jabot again—especially since he’s in competition with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and needs every ounce of support he can get. With Fenmore’s helping him with his profits, he isn’t going to easily fall for Phyllis’ scheme.
As a result, after everything else she has done, Phyllis could wind up hitting rock bottom.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
