'Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Will Phyllis Make Amends?
She ran into even more trouble with those she had hurt when she agreed to run Dark Horse after Adam managed to swindle it away from Nick. However, Phyllis will instead find herself mending some relationships and creating new enemies as she shocks her former enemies on the Wednesday, July 31 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was already on the outs with a lot of people in Genoa City after she saved herself and virtually threw Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sharon (Sharon Case) under the bus for JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) presumed murder. Things didn’t approve for her on the CBS soap after she returned from a brief jaunt to Las Vegas (and going missing), and quickly seemed to team up with Adam (Marc Grossman) to take down the Newmans. In addition, she made enemies of the Abbotts as well when she helped torpedo Jabot even further by selling knockoffs of their new products.
However, after seeming as though she was really doing all of Adam’s bidding when she signed on to helm Dark Horse, which Adam took from Nick when he wouldn’t give up Christian, Phyllis will do something shocking that will take people like Nick by surprise.
“Nick is stunned by Phyllis,” spoilers reveal.
Phyllis also revealed to both Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria that she was conning Adam herself and had no intentions of actually helping him out in any way. Now, she may reveal that she has actually taken everything Dark Horse had and sold it off to Newman, meaning Victoria will regain control of the properties—and can give them back to Nick. Though he may appreciate the gesture and it will help rebuild a path towards some friendship with Phyllis again, it won’t fully repair things. However, it will be a start.
In the meantime, she will also make a move to mend fences with the Abbotts as well, by releasing their Jabotique properties back to them and officially taking them out from under Adam’s thumb as well. It will be another way for them to continue their own rebuilding process and may help repair her relationships with Billy and Jack (Peter Bergman) as a result.
However, going up against Adam could still backfire for her, since he isn’t one to sit back and let anyone scam him without paying consequences. Though she’ll be making amends that she should have a while ago, she could be setting herself up for even more trouble as well.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
