Is ‘Younger’ On Tonight? Season 5, Episode 5 Delayed
We’re only a few episodes into “Younger” Season 5, but the show is already going on a hiatus. Don’t worry, though, it’s a very short one.
While there won’t be a full-length, new “Younger” on tonight (July 3), as networks often skip putting out new episodes during holiday weeks, TV Land is still giving fans a little something, something. The series returns with episode 5 of the season next week, but the network is broadcasting a five-minute preview of it at the show’s regular start time tonight at 10 p.m. EDT. For the other 25 minutes of the half-hour block, a Season 1 episode of “Two and a Half Men” will be airing.
When Season 5, episode 5 of “Younger,” titled “Big Little Liza,” does finally premiere, fans will be treated to the directorial debut of star Miriam Shor (Diana). While she’s busy behind the camera, the rest of the fan favorites will be onscreen as lots of new drama unfolds. The episode’s synopsis reveals that “Liza’s (Sutton Foster) secret forces her to think on her feet; Kelsey (Hilary Duff) gets familiar with her new author, and Josh (Nico Tortorella) grapples with the commitments he’s made.”
Though fans won’t get to see more of Diana and her returning love interest, Enzo (Chris Tardio), in this upcoming episode, Shor told International Business Times that their romance is only just beginning and “turns into a really wonderful storyline.” The two will enjoy their blossoming relationship, while also dealing with the challenges that come with it.
“Her [past] relationship took a bit of a toll on her and when you’ve been burned in a relationship, it’s always hard to sort of trust relationships and to put yourself in a relationship again,” Shor told IBT. “So, I think they kind of deal with that, but I also think they deal with her feelings that they’re from two different worlds.”
Shor’s excited that the series will start to focus on more of Diana’s life outside of work, as she learns to better balance her personal and professional lives.
Season 5 of “Younger” picks back up again on TV Land on Tuesday, July 10 at 10 p.m. EDT.
