YouTube Star Nikkie De Jager And Fiancé Robbed At Gunpoint At Netherlands Home

Beauty vlogger Nikkie de Jager, known for her YouTube channel "NikkieTutorials," said she and her fiancé, Dylan Drossaers, were robbed at gunpoint at their Netherlands home over the weekend.

Sharing the news on her Instagram account Saturday, Aug. 8, de Jager said both of them are doing "okay" and are "safe" after the attack.

"Earlier today one of my biggest nightmares became reality when we got robbed under gunpoint at our own home," she wrote in the post. "Dylan and myself got attacked but physically we’re okay. Mentally it’s a whole other story," she continued. "I’m writing this message, for now, to let you know that we are ‘okay’ and safe."

"Thank you for understanding as I take the next couple of days to myself," she added.

Other members of the YouTube community met her post with supportive messages. "I’m so f— glad you are okay," James Charles, also a beauty YouTuber, wrote. "I love you so so so so so much."

"Omg, I’m praying for you! Ilysm," wrote Patrick Starr. "I’m so sorry this happened to you. sending you peace & love," Tyler Oakley said.

"I’m SO sorry Nikkie but am glad you’re safe!!! Sending you so much love," said Marlena Stell.

Local authorities shared a statement on Twitter about a home robbery that same day, which took place in Uden, where the couple lives. Police informed about "at least 3 perpetrators" who they said fled from a home after threatening the residents. They said the robbers were identified and they threatened them "possibly a firearm," at the time of the incident. It was not known what was taken away from the home.

"One of the residents suffered superficial injuries," police said in a follow-up tweet, adding that an investigation is underway.

De Jager made headlines recently after blasting television host Ellen DeGeneres and her crew for mistreating her while visiting "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". According to Pop Crave, she told Dutch magazine "&C" that she didn’t receive the same VIP treatment as other celebrity guests in the show. The YouTuber appeared on the show in January after coming out as transgender to her followers.
